LAN Airlines partnered with ezRez Software to access hotels, car rentals and TripAdvisor reviews for all of the airline’s global markets.
Under the global deal, LAN gets access to more than 100,000 hotels, car rental inventory, TripAdvisor reviews and 360-degree room imagery and destination information, the companies say.
The functionality is being rolled out in stages. Here’s a look at the auto and car tab on LAN’s Chilean site:
ezRez access the hotel inventory though direct-connects to major chains, wholesalers and online travel agencies.
“We then unify multiple offers for the same hotel and only show the best offer to the end user,” says ezRez spokesman Dario Ambrosini.
As this “unification process” is under way, ezRez uses APIs to add the TripAdvisor reviews, 360-degree views and information about activities near the hotels, Ambrosini says.
LAN is a leading airline in Latin America and, with its partners, serves more than 70 global destinations, including North America, Europe and the South Pacific.
Previously, LAN offered hotels and cars in a limited number of countries through a direct connect with one supplier.
